MABAS stands for: Mutual Aid Box Alarm System 

MABAS provides a time tested framework for fire departments to work together and share resources to better protect our communities.

MABAS Division 35 was established July 2001 and operates under the Illinois State MABAS organization which has been around since 1968.

Division 35 primarily consists of fire departments and stake holders in Madison County Illinois, but also includes departments from Jersey, Macoupin, Montgomery, and Bond counties, as well as a few fire departments located in Missouri just across the Mississippi river.
